Release Note
CodexGauge 1.2.0: Intel Mac support
CodexGauge 1.2.0 is now available, adding native Intel Mac support while retaining native performance on Apple silicon.
The app is now delivered as a Universal 2 build containing both the arm64 and x86_64 architecture slices. One signed and notarized disk image runs natively on Apple-silicon and Intel Macs, so there is no separate architecture-specific download to choose.
The release process has been expanded alongside the app. Build, test, performance, and packaging checks now verify both architecture slices. The signed and notarized release passed the complete unit and interface test suites for both slices, strict performance gates, mounted-disk-image launch tests, signature and entitlement checks, stapling, Gatekeeper assessment, and checksum verification. The Intel slice was also exercised through Rosetta on Apple silicon.
The product experience and privacy model are unchanged in this release. CodexGauge still requires macOS 14.4 or later and an installed and signed-in ChatGPT or Codex app, or a compatible Codex executable.
