CODEXGAUGE
A native macOS menu-bar app for keeping Codex allowances and local task activity in view.
CodexGauge is a native macOS menu-bar app that keeps Codex allowances and local task activity visible without another sign-in or API key. It uses the Codex helper and content-free local metadata already available on your Mac to show remaining allowances, reset timing, sustainable pace estimates, and activity from live and recent tasks.
It is built for people who want a clearer view of their Codex usage without stepping away from their work. The menu bar keeps the most useful information close, while a native Dashboard provides more detail when it is needed. The current Universal 2 release runs natively on Apple silicon and Intel Macs running macOS 14.4 or later. CodexGauge is read-only, has no analytics or backend, and does not collect prompts, responses, reasoning, command output, credentials, or account tokens.
